| Following Praktiker, the Max Bahr chain of home improvement stores has now added the new environmentally friendly ECO car batteries from iQ Power to its merchandise assortment. News of this was confirmed by the exclusive iQ Power sales partner for large-format stores, that also distributes to Praktiker and Max Bahr. Consumers will soon be able to buy innovative battery products from iQ Power in some 60 select Max Bahr stores located throughout Germany. The product rollout has already begun and last week the store in Augsburg became the first of the large-format Max Bahr stores to carry ECO batteries.
The Max Bahr chain of home improvement stores has been a part of the Praktiker Group of do-it-yourself (DIY) centers in Germany since 2007. The Praktiker brand of home improvement supercenters has already added the new ECO batteries from iQ Power to its nationwide stock assortment. Serial deliveries to the more than 220 Praktiker supercenters in Germany and the some 60 Max Bahr stores are underway right now.
Overall, the Praktiker Group operates about 440 stores in ten countries and is one of the leading companies in the European DIY industry. The company has nearly 340 locations in Germany (76 of which are Max Bahr stores) with about two million square meters of total selling space.
